VOCATION STORIES
SR NIAMH'S STORY
I think, if I’m honest, a part of me has always known that I would grow up and be a nun. But the rest of me didn’t want to know it. The rest of me was hoping for something else, something ‘better’.

SR TERESA'S STORY
As a child I was absolutely convinced that God loved me and so I was determined to do something ‘great’ for God when I grew up. It was only later on that I realised that it wasn’t I who would do something ‘great’ for God but that God was doing something ‘great’ for me.

SR CATHY'S STORY
I did not really know anything about God or the Church until I got involved with the Legion of Mary in 2004. One day a Nun took me by surprise ... She asked me if I ever thought of Religious Life? “No way, I said. I was not humble enough”. She laughed and said that none of us are.
SR MARGARET'S STORY
God speaks in many and varied ways. I knew at the age of 12 or 13 that someday, sometime I would be a nun and give my life to Him. It was 6 years later that I thought about it again.

SR BREDA'S STORY

“There is nothing more beautiful than to be surprised in the Gospel by the encounter with Christ.  There is nothing more beautiful than to know Him and speak to others of our friendship with Him.”  Pope Benedict XVI.
One can say the same about a vocation to religious life and it is this which prompts me to share my own vocation story!

SR ANN MARIE'S STORY
"YOU ARE OUT TOO FAR"
One of my earliest memories is of the joy of sliding down the banisters and expecting my big brother to be waiting at the bottom to catch me and hold me safe! Sometimes he would stand too far away and invariably my cry was “you are out too far.”  Unknowingly this cry was casting long shadows into future years when my beloved Jesus would hide Himself from me.
